You Made Me A Promise

You made me a promise when I was small.
You made me a promise, but that’s not all.
You gave me a challenge to grow and learn.
You taught me to listen, reason, and discern.

You gave me your promise, a gift from you.
I soon learned, I must give something too.
The best things in life aren’t really free.
I must learn to give back something from me.

I must invest my thoughts, my effort, my skill.
The desire to learn must be part of my will.
Without a plan, I will surely fall.
If I want success, I must give it my all.

So I give you my promise, while I am small.
I will learn all I can before I am tall.
I will give you my attention and open my mind.
I will stay on my task and not get behind.

Each day in class, I will learn to prepare,
Consuming the words of the lessons you share.
I will accept your promise day by day,
By keeping mine each step of the way.

Our School

We are Northglade Montessori.
The things we do will tell our story.
Each act is planned each purpose driven.
To each student gifts are given.

In love we seek to serve and teach.
Each child’s heart we strive to reach.
Preparing well the place to learn,
Watching minds that grow and yearn.

The child consumes the knowledge we give;
Learning how to grow and live.
How we teach must be the best.
What they learn will give them zest.

At Children’s House the path begins.
From there the learning never ends.
We give them gifts of courtesy and grace.
Gifts attracting their embrace.
